Partnership with Parents & Carers
Effective Communication
Effective communication between parents & carers and nursery staff is important to provide the best possible care for your children.
We would appreciate if you could inform staff of any circumstances, either temporary or permanent which may affect your child’s emotional or physical wellbeing to ensure you child receives additional support if necessary.
A member of staff will be available to speak to you on a daily basis to discuss you child’s progress and answer any question you may have.
You will be kept informed of nursery events and activities though our notice board in the entrance area, facebook or via our website.
Confidentiality
All information regarding your child/family will be kept in the strictest confidence in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Parental and Carer Support
As parents & Carers you are the prime educators of your children in their earliest years.
We therefore welcome and encourage parents & carers involvement in the nursery.
We have an open door policy in place and members of staff are always available to listen to your comments and suggestions.
Parents are welcome to join in our committee to help make the best decisions possible for the Childcare! Please speak to a staff member if you wish to join.
Care Inspectorate
Cairndow Community Childcare are registered with the Care Inspectorate, who are the registration and inspection body for all preschool centres in Scotland. The nursery is inspected regularly by Care Inspectorate (usually unannounced), to ensure high standards of childcare and education laid down in the National Care Standards are being met.
