Registration for funded care takes
place in January each year via
Argyll and Bute Council website.
Pre-School Funding
Free childcare places are available for 3 and 4-year-olds, all year round.
Funded by the Scottish Government, you can get up to 1,140 hours of early learning and childcare a year if your child is 3 or 4 years old. Some 2-year-olds are also eligible, as are 5-year-olds opting for deferred school entry.
We can offer two ways of using your funding:
Option 1. - 48 weeks in a year (all year) giving as a rough guide, 23 hours 45 mins of free childcare a week
or
Option 2. - 38 weeks (term time only), giving as a rough guide, 30 hours of free childcare a week
We can also offer very competitively priced extra sessions around these hours to suit your needs.
